Monday, February 9th, 2026 – 6:15 AM
Welcome to Super G Week, Racers 🏁
Time to click in, tighten the buckles, and bring the heat. It’s race week.
Weather Forecast – Fast & Firm
Bluebird conditions to start the week. Mostly sunny with a stiff NW wind at 10–15 mph, gusting to 30 mph—stronger up high, so expect it to feel spicy on course inspection.
Base: Near 0°F at the bell, climbing to 21–25°F
Summit: Single digits early, topping out around 13–17°F
Wind chills: As low as –15°F this morning
Tuesday softens the edges a bit—lighter winds, increasing clouds, and more forgiving temps. Snow chances roll in Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Lifts & Terrain – Game On
Scheduled to spin:
Flying Yankee, Mountaineer, Progression, Snowbelt, Flying Bear: 9AM–4PM
Abenaki: 9AM–3:30PM
Learning Center: 10AM–3PM
Check Lift & Terrain Status for real-time updates—conditions change quickly during race week.
Mountain Conditions – Prime Mid-Season Speed
Cold temps have locked the surface in beautifully. Expect firm, fast, and consistent race-grade snow across the hill. Groomers put in the work overnight—think packed powder and hard-pack machine groomed, ready to lay trenches.
Natural, ungroomed terrain will be mixed: pockets of powder, packed powder, and scraped-up hardpack on the popular lines. Freestyle athletes can take laps at Arcade Terrain Park (Bear Peak) and the Ptarmigan Pop-Up Park (Attitash Peak).
We’re sitting just shy of 100% open terrain today.
Race closures:
Spillway: Closed for racing
Illusion / Crawford’s Path: Closed for race training
Super G Week: Held on Illusion, closed to public access
Expect a high volume of racers moving between both peaks. Bear Peak Base Lodge may feel tight at times—plan your transitions like you plan your line: early and efficient.
