About Chris MacKay & The ToneShifters

Chris MacKay & The ToneShifters are a five piece band from Southeastern CT that plays all over New England but consider New Hampshire their second home. Playing many festivals and venues in NH they have become a crowd favorite on the summer/fall circuit and have opened for several national acts along the way including Dr John, Johnny Winter, James Montgomery and Christine Ohlman among others.
Nominated for several music awards over the years including a New England Music Award, they
have been wowing crowds since 2009 with their energetic style of music known as “Swinginrockabluesabilly”, a danceable blend that combines blues, swing, swamp, southern rock and rockabilly.
Playing originals and covers the ToneShifters will keep you on your feet with some added  percussion and impromptu jams to make it even more interesting!
The bands 2014 cd “ All Washed Up” was well received (http://www.bostonblues.com/features.php?key=cdMacKay-WashedUp) and they are currently preparing for a new release in the coming months. www.toneshifters.com   pinkysbooking@gmail.com

The Day -
“If you haven't seen Chris MacKay & the Tone Shifters yet, now's the time. A roots outfit with a solid underpinning in swampy blues, the band is pretty much capable of astonishing work in whatever direction they spin off.”

(Bands will play upstairs in Ptarmigan's Pub in the event of inclement weather)
