About Attitash Mountain Resort
Attitash Mountain Resort is a premier year-round destination, located in the Mt. Washington Valley in Northern New Hampshire's White Mountains Region. The surrounding North Conway Area was ranked by National Geographic as one of the "Top 25 Ski Towns in the World" in 2012. With our resort's iconic Alpine Slide and our latest addition, the Nor’Easter Mountain Coaster, Attitash Mountain Resort has been a popular summer destination for families since 1976. In the winter, Attitash Mountain Resort has been ranked amongst the East’s top ten ski resorts for snow quality, grooming, weather, dining, après ski, off-hill activities and family programs by readers of SKI Magazine. Owned and operated by Peak Resorts, Attitash and its nearby sister resort, Wildcat Mountain, located 20 minutes north of our resort, offer interchangeable lift tickets and season passes, combining for 535 skiable acres.

May 16, 2013 - Attitash Mountain Resort has long been recognized as New England’s original summer fun ski area. The Alpine Slide, still the longest in North America, first opened to the public in 1976. Since then Attitash Mountain Resort has added many more summer attractions including the Mount Washington Valley’s longest mountain coaster. This season, Attitash will introduce two more attractions, a freefall Airbag Jump and Slacklines.
May 07, 2013 - Attitash Mountain Resort and Wildcat Mountain believe that giving to the community is an essential part of its success and supports hundreds of organizations and events each year. Asked frequently to support charities of all types, Attitash and Wildcat Mountain annually support the local community and region by providing charitable contributions. Annually, they review hundreds of requests and donate accordingly with emphasis on local education and public health organizations.
December 26, 2012 - Attitash Mountain Resort & Wildcat Mountain have been introducing winter enthusiasts to outdoor fun on the slopes since they began offering lift-serviced skiing and riding. This year, as a special offer to support the snow sport industries January Learn a Snow Sports Month promotion, both mountains invite “never-evers” to sign up for a free Learn2 first day three hour clinic, rental equipment and novice lift ticket package at either Attitash Mountain Resort or Wildcat Mountain during the week of January 12 – 18, 2013.
November 02, 2012 - Once again, both Attitash Mountain Resort and Wildcat Mountain will be among the many ski resorts attending the upcoming annual Boston Globe Ski & Snowboard Expo. Skiers and riders all over New England will gather in Boston to get excited for winter and to see or buy the latest gear, plan ski vacations, find one-of-a-kind lift ticket deals, and hear what’s new from attending resorts.
September 17, 2012 - Attitash Mountain Resort will host the 15th annual Oktoberfest on Columbus Day weekend, Saturday, October 6 and Sunday, October 7 at its Bear Peak base area. The two-day Oktoberfest weekend will feature live, traditional Bavarian music from the world renowned King Ludwig's Band, dancing, kids' activities, games, the annual Stein Holding & Keg Toss contests for adults, authentic German food and the Biergarten tent featuring local and regional brewers.
September 06, 2012 - Attitash Mountain Resort is scheduled to host the POC Eastern States Cup downhill mountain biking series New Hampshire State Championship on Sunday, September 16. The Eastern States Cup (ESC) is a USA Cycling (USAC) Regional Championship Series with events being held in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and New York.
August 31, 2012 - Attitash Mountain Resort & Wildcat Mountain announced today that for the entire month of September they will be selling midweek lift tickets for the 2012/13 season at the low pre-purchase rate of $30.
August 16, 2012 - Summer attraction operations remain in full swing at both Attitash Mountain Resort and Wildcat Mountain, but major improvements & initiatives for the 2012/2013 winter season are taking place at both ski areas as fall approaches.
July 24, 2012 - A forest fire broke out on the west side of Attitash at 4 p.m. on Monday, July 23, according to Attitash Mountain Resort Outside Operations Manager Brian Jones. The fire was contained by 5:05 p.m. and affected 1/10 of an acre of land located on the ski trail Spillway.
July 16, 2012 - Attitash Mountain Resort will celebrate summer when it hosts the BlueberryFEST at its Bear Peak base area on Saturday, August 4 from 2 – 8 p.m. The BlueberryFEST event will celebrate summer at Attitash Mountain Resort and feature a craft fair & farmer’s market, field games, bouncy house, live music, BBQ-style food, seasonal brews, and blueberry pie baking & pie-eating contests.
June 28, 2012 - Attitash Mountain Resort will begin its Pin The Trail downhill mountain biking summer weekly race series on Wednesday, July 11. The six week series is comprised of a weekly single run format downhill mountain bike race held every Wednesday at Attitash.
June 13, 2012 - This Saturday, June 16, the guided horseback trail and pony rides will be open at 9 a.m. to begin its daily summer operating season. The Fields of Attitash have once again become the home for 20 horses of various sizes and breed, but this year many improvements have been made that enhance the equine business surroundings and are functional to utilize and sustain the field space for feeding horses.
May 24, 2012 - Attitash Mountain Resort will open summer & fall operations on the Memorial Day Weekend beginning Saturday, May 26 at 10 a.m. Recognized as one of New England’s original, summer fun ski areas when the Alpine Slide, still the longest lengths in North America, first opened to the public on July 1, 1976, Attitash has added many more summer attractions at the base since that time including the newer Nor’Easter Mountain Coaster.
May 24, 2012 - Cross-country trail runners are invited to register now to take part in the first annual Thad Thorne 5k Memorial Trail Race to be held at Attitash Mountain Resort Saturday, June 16 at 10 a.m. A Fun Run Race will take place after the 5k Trail Race on a similar, shorter course. Part of the proceeds of this race will benefit the Bartlett Middle School Ski Team.
May 14, 2012 - For a second year, Attitash Mountain Resort will serve as a host venue for the POC Eastern States Cup downhill mountain biking series. The Eastern States Cup (ESC) is a USA Cycling (USAC) Regional Championship Series with events being held in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and New York.
May 11, 2012 - Carol Decker has been named the new Director of Sales for Attitash Mountain Resort and Wildcat Mountain. A resident of the Mount Washington Valley for more than 25 years, Decker brings a history of resort hospitality and sales experience including previous positions held at Attitash, and more recently, sales manager at the Mount Washington Hotel.
May 04, 2012 - Alissa Whittle has been named the new General Manager of the Attitash Grand Summit Hotel & Conference Center. Whittle has previously served as the Attitash Grand Summit Hotel Lodging Controller for more than four years and she has over 15 years of resort hospitality experience including prior positions in her native California as well as Alaska and Maryland.
March 05, 2012 - One of the highlights of the annual season passholder parties has been both the silent and live auctions to benefit local organizations. This year, specific donated items and services from both Attitash Mountain Resort and Wildcat Mountain were designated to benefit AbilityPLUS Inc., Bartlett Recreation Department, or the Berlin Recreation Department.
February 27, 2012 - Attitash Mountain Resort recently donated $3,000 to assist the Bartlett Police Department with purchasing ballistic vests for each officer on the department. The vests are worn by on-duty officers as part of their uniform while performing daily tasks.
