Wildcat Snow Report

Comments

Good Morning Attitash Nation, are you ready for the weekend? Saturday looks to be another bluebird day and with all the sunshine it should be a beauty. It has been a Fabulous NH February Vacation week for everyone at Attitash Mountain Resort; while the weekend looks to be another fun filled time with the best conditions of the season. We keep saying that every day because it is so true! The Resort will be in full swing with our on snow attractions and après entertainment. We have the always exciting USASA: Skier/ Boarder X taking place on our challenging world class course that has been specially built out on Spillway. The big event is at 10 am Saturday morning. This is great spectator event as the participants aggressively attack this incredible course and put on quite a show. Folks can join in on all the fun with the après scene as well; RJB & The Name Changers will be rocking in Ptarmigan's Pub in the afternoon from 3 to 6 pm. Pat Foley will be in the Den Sessions at Bear Peak from 2 to 4:30 pm. The on snow action will continue Sunday, March 1, the USASA: Slopestyle event will take place in the Abenaki Terrain Park. Come on out to Attitash today and Sunday to enjoy our great conditions and all the excitement of this phenomenal winter season.

Attitash is scheduled to operate from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm with 9 lifts providing access to 66 trails across 307 acres and 22.4 miles for skiing/riding. 52 trails have been machine groomed overnight. Conditions will begin as thoroughly groomed packed powder with fresh morning corduroy. Conditions on the ungroomed terrain will be variable with a mix of packed powder, powder and some firm areas under the snow. The all natural surfaces are holding up nicely, it’s looking good on Wilfred's Gawm, Tim’s Trauma and the bumps on Grandstand. Still finding fresh, soft, powdery untracked lines in the tree skiing areas of Bear Peak. Use caution out there as there may be hidden hazards under the snow. Be prepared to adapt to changing conditions as the day progresses. What a spectacular winter season it has been in ski country. Over Three and a half feet of snow has fallen in February. It is amazing how good the conditions can be with so much natural snow!

Please note; Spillway will be closed for Saturday’s big event the USASA: Skier / Boarder X.

We are looking at a forecast of bright sunny skies, another bluebird picture perfect day, cold with temps to start the day in the single digits, a high of 23 degrees and a west wind around 5 mph. Layer up to stay warm but it should be relatively comfortable compared to what we have been used to in the past few weeks. Snowflakes are back in the forecast for Sunday night, 2 to 3 inches of accumulation is possible. A more significant snow event is in the forecast for Tuesday. While right now it is too early to make predictions about snow accumulation totals; we will keep a keen eye on the forecast so stay tuned for updates. Our squeaky dry snow is fabulous and this never ending cold stretch will keep it that way. So make plans to be here to enjoy the best conditions you could ever imagine; get everybody going for a great start to the weekend on Saturday morning. Hope to see you on the slopes
