Expectations for nursery seasonal participants would be an outdoor ski session for an hour to an hour and a half both morning and afternoon. Weather, snow conditions and/or physical condition could affect these expectations. Student to instructor ratios in a group setting would be 2-3 skiers to one coach.

Developing fundamental skills in a fun filled group setting, skiing novice to intermediate terrain. Student to instructor ratio is 4-6 skiers to one coach, age dependent.

For those enrolled in the Mountaineer program, a minimum skiing skill is required, here are some points to take into consideration:

  • Is your child able to ride the Learning Center Triple chairlift with some assistance and then safely ski down? As a rule, the skiing is easier than the lift riding
  • Children should have some knowledge of how to make a pizza (snowplow), stopping, turning and using a chairlift
  • Parents are welcome to help out in getting the children on the lift and up the hill
  • For those not able to ski independently we recommend Attitash’s daily ski programs, Buddy Bears (Ages 3-6) and Adventure Kids (Ages 7-12), to get experienced on-snow
