Upcoming events and the start of the New Year
Tuesday, December 22, 2009

Attitash Resort is pleased to announce a number of exciting upcoming events to wrap up 2009 and start 2010 in style.

On December 26, Attitash presents the U Go Girls Giant Slalom race, the first of the 3 event U Go Girls series, which also includes the U Go Girls Big Air competition on January 30 and the U Go Girls Dual GS on February 20.

Following the December 26 event, we kick off the New Year with the First Annual Attitash Giant Slalom Race on January 2nd open to all with a cost of only $10.00 per racer.

An event of exceptional interest is the Third Annual Military Salute Weekend January 23rd & 24th to honor the special men and women who have chosen to defend and serve our country in so many ways. Attitash is proud to provide past and present troops with FREE LIFT TICKETS on January 23rd & 24th for active, veteran and retired service men and women, as well as discounted tickets for active duty family members with valid ID.

To nominate a member of our military service as a Military Salute Weekend honoree, simply visit our web site and complete the information form listed at http://www.attitash.com/militaryform.html and send that
information to Attitash.

In addition to the pictorial displays of our honorees in the Base Lodge, included among the activities will be the U.S. Air Force Colonial Brass Band performing outdoors during the Flag Parade and Color Guard ceremony, while the Air Force rock band, Afterburner, performs in Ptarmigan’s Pub from 3:00pm – 6:00pm on Saturday and from 1:00pm – 4:00pm on Sunday.

Sunday’s schedule of activities will also feature a NEW fun race between the military branches in which everyone is invited to participate and represent their designated military service branch. Our traditional on snow obstacle course will be set up for your enjoyment on Sunday as well.

For further information, or to nominate someone as a Military Salute Honoree, visit http://attitash.com/events.html and http://attitash.com/militarysalute.html
