Note: Expectations for nursery seasonal participants would be an outdoor ski session for an hour to an hour and a half both morning and afternoon. Weather, snow conditions and/or physical condition could affect these expectations. Student to instructor ratios in a group setting would be 2 or 3 to 1 depending on instructor availability.
Mountaineer Program: Ages 5-7
Cost: $595
Developing fundamental skills in a fun filled group setting. Skiing: green and blue terrain. Student to instructor ratio 4-6 to 1 age dependent.
For those enrolled in the Mountaineer program a minimum skiing skill is required. Is your child able to ride the Learning Center Chair with some assistance and then safely ski down? As a rule, the skiing is easier than the lift riding. Children should have some knowledge of how to make a pizza (snowplow), stop and turn as well as riding a lift. Parents are welcome to help out in getting the children on the lift and up the hill. For those not able to ski independently we recommend Attitash’s daily programs, Buddy Bears (Ages 3-6) and Adventure Kids (Ages 7-12), to get them started.
