Hip-Hip, Hooray for Thursday Storms

Last year, Tuesdays were the storm trend, and for all us hardworking industry workers, that’s generally our days off. Let’s just say it was pretty fun. This year, the trend is tipped in favor of the weekend warriors - hip-hip, hooray! Thomas (aka our Marketing Director) noted today that this is the third week in a row of Thursday storms, and after studying the radar for the past 12 hours, we’re happy to report we picked up 6 inches of snow in the last 24 hours. And, although the precipitation did change to sleet for part of this morning, we did manage to dodge the rain.

This weekend, expect 220+ acres of terrain on 54 trails. Our Snow Reporter Max chatted with Ski Patrol this afternoon about the possibility of dropping ropes on additional trails. Saturday morning’s Snow Report will have all the details, if that’s the case.

Weather-wise this weekend, expect sunshine and temperatures in the high 30s. It should be fabulous skiing and riding, so come early and stay late with all of our après events tomorrow.

Although Corey and the event team are on hiatus tomorrow working the NCAA Winter Carnival on Illusion at Bear Peak, we have plenty of fun, off-snow events scheduled. Our friends from Boston’s 100.7 WZLX will be doing a radio promo on the Attitash Main Lodge Deck from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Local band Full Circle will be performing in Ptarmigan’s Pub at 3 p.m. along with a beer promo by the Bud Light Brew Crew. And, if you still haven’t checked out the Den Sessions at Bear Peak, Swamp Dog is back rocking a solo act in The Den from 2-4:30 p.m.

See you on the slopes!
